Regal Publishers was established by Mr. Jacob Varghese in 1976 as a proprietary concern. During the course of the publishing journey, Regal Publishers published various fiction and non-fiction books. The publishing consists of educational books, novels and comics.
Regal Publishers brought outmany world famous titles suchas Phantom, Mandrake The Magician, Tarzan, James Bond, Modesty Blaise, Steel Claw along with Indian characters like Inspector Azad etc. in Malayalam. In addition to this, Regal Publishers also brought out many books relating to education such as English Grammar Books, Spoken English Books, dictionaries etc.
In 2010 Regal Publishers became a partnership firm. Jacob Varghese is the managing partner and his son Pradeep Jacob is the partner. In 2020, Regal Publishers, for the first time in the history, commenced publishing comics in English also starting with Phantom comics and subsequently Mandrake The Magician.
